Winemaker: |
Peter Auld |
Background: |
Made in the traditional port style from the small amount of
fruit (Shiraz) harvested during the drought year of 2004. |
Tasting Notes: |
As a young port the wine shows delicate sweet cherry and
pepper aromas overlaid with a touch of oak. Medium bodied in the mouth
with a soft mouthfeel, the sweet fruit flavours are balanced against a
backdrop of subtle french oak characters. As past Vintage Ports from
Tizzana have shown, this wine will benefit with at least five years bottle
age with excellent cellaring potential beyond this. |
