Clarissa is named after Clarissa’s Vineyard, one of the
twenty vineyards that made up the original Tizzana Estate. Dr. Thomas
Fiaschi grew Hermitage (Shiraz) and Petit Verdot grapes in this vineyard
which he named after his first daughter born in 1885.
The 2001 Clarissa is a dry red blend made from hand-picked Shiraz (75%)
and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) grapes. harvested from the original property
at 10.0 Baume in February/March, 2001. |
Tasting Notes: |
The flavour of the wine shows crushed berry flavours
balanced by peppery shiraz notes. |
